The “New” Project 365

2011 has arrived and 2011 went by in a flash. I realized this year how much I missed blogging but even more so how much I miss revisiting the little things that made up my day-to-day life. I decided that since the wedding is now 4 short months away (wow) and the days are going to start going by in a blur, that I will start a new Project 365 and capture all of the small and great moments that will make up this next year of my life. This is going to be one great year and I don’t want to miss a thing. 🙂

So with no further ado – Day 1 of the next 365 days of my life.

Back on the Horse!

The wedding horse that is! After a 2+ month hiatus I am quickly getting back into wedding planning mode. I’m moving from obessing over mortgage rates, escrow hiccups and couch colors to wedding palettes, guest lists, cupcakes and dresses!

Only 8 months to go – I’d better get a move on!

T-Minus One Year and Counting!

I was awoken this morning by my amazing fiancé with a surprise card & gift. The occasion? Today marks one year from our official wedding date! The card with it’s cute little tropical look represents the honeymoon cruise we are planning & the gift is a large collage frame full of photos he used in his proposal video! He also included the plane tickets from the “secret” flight he took to Louisiana to ask my Dad for my hand. The center photo, was the moment caught on film as he proposed and I said YES!

Project 365 – Happy Birthday!!!

I can’t believe I made it one year – 365 days of photos! It was much harder than I thought but for different reasons that I had imagined. Some days were easy, a birthday or special event, a celebration or just taking pictures of a beautiful day outdoors. Some days I had to get creative and search out something interesting to shoot a photo of, or just be creative trying to snap a candid shot of someone in my life. On some days I was just lazy and posted a lame photo – sorry! And some days were not so great and I had to struggle to find something positive to post as to not dwell on that bad day.

All in all this was a fun, insightful experience and I what I love most about it is that I find myself searching out the best part of my day on a subconscious level just to have something positive to end the day on. And although I am not going to continue with a daily photo, I still plan on chronicling all the fabulous adventures ahead for my family, my friends and myself.

So for now, here are some of the highlights from the last 365 days of my life – enjoy! 🙂

Success!!!

Today was the official “Bridesmaid Dress Hunt” day. Christine, Shannon and I were on a mission and started off bright and early and hit the mall as soon as it opened. The plan was the hit the major stores and search out the perfect dress, simple! It turned out to be more like a Family Circus cartoon meets lesson in impulse control! Trying to get three girls through a mall and not-shop-at-all? After trekking over the entire mall and back for half the day (a few dollars lighter), we headed to a real bridal store with a much bigger selection and way less distractions… Then success -the perfect dress!

Always Luv... Heidi
